Policies, Terms & Legal
The short version of each of our policies, organized by topic, with a link to the full text below. If anything here and the full policy ever disagree, the full policy governs.
Privacy Policy
What personal data we collect, why, and how it's protected.
- Your data: we collect only your account identity, attachment metadata and content, and — for organizations — billing details. We never sell your data, and we don't use analytics or tracking cookies.
- Where it's stored: each regional deployment (for example Germany and Japan) runs on its own independent server — your data stays in the region you submitted it to.
- Your rights: access, correction, deletion, and portability, honored under GDPR and Japan's APPI depending on where you're located.
- International transfers: Japan and the EU each recognize the other's data protection as adequate, which is what lets our Japan-based team support an EU deployment.
Terms of Service
The rules that govern your use of the service.
- Accounts: sign-in is passkey-only, no passwords, ever. Keep a backup passkey registered if your device supports it.
- Acceptable use: don't send unlawful content, try to access another user's attachments, or interfere with the service.
- Sender responsibility: organizations are responsible for having a lawful basis to send content to each recipient.
- Payment & cancellation: full detail lives in our Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
- Governing law: these Terms are governed by the laws of Japan.
Cancellation Policy
How to cancel, and what happens to your trial, billing, and plan.
- Trial: every plan starts with a free 30-day trial — cancel anytime during it at no cost.
- Payment: paid plans are invoiced monthly, payable by bank transfer within 14 days, once the trial ends.
- Refunds: fees aren't refundable except where the law requires it or we agree otherwise in writing.
- Plan changes: downgrading from Plus to Standard takes effect at the end of the following month — you keep, and pay for, Plus until then.
- Cancelling: cancel anytime from your billing page. It's immediate during your trial; after that, it's recorded right away but takes effect — blocking access — at the end of the following month.
